PRESTIGE H2O / WATER, UNDERSTOOD

Care that fits the system.

Ongoing care depends on the treatment and the exact equipment. Ion-exchange softeners may require salt replenishment and setting checks; filters and reverse-osmosis systems have specified replacement elements and care requirements. Keep the manual, model number and service records, and use manufacturer instructions instead of a universal replacement schedule.

Ion-exchange softeners

Follow the selected manufacturer’s instructions for regenerant, settings and inspection. Do not use a generic service interval in place of the manual.

Filters and drinking-water systems

Cartridges, media and membranes have model-specific replacement requirements. Water use and incoming conditions can affect service needs.

Keep ownership transparent

Ask who performs the work and what is included in the price.

  • Consumables and replacement parts
  • Expected service tasks and model-specific schedule
  • Access and shutoff instructions
  • Written warranty and exclusions

Questions and answers

Is water treatment maintenance-free?

Do not assume it is. Even equipment without salt can have media life, inspection, cleaning or replacement requirements. Ask for a written care plan for the exact system.

Who is responsible for consumables and service?

That must be stated in the proposal. Separate homeowner tasks, included visits, replacement materials and chargeable work, and keep the written terms with the equipment records.

What records are useful?

Keep the model and configuration, installation and service dates, manufacturer instructions, replacement part details and any relevant water tests with their dates and units.
